GDD + Prototype
"ēvolūTiō" is a captivating Tactical/Strategy RPG that seamlessly blends 2D pixel art with immersive 3D environments. Dive into a narrative brimming with intriguing characters, each with compelling stories and unique goals, shaping an enthralling plot and delivering engaging gameplay.
Prototype progress
Creating "ēvolūTiō" was no ordinary feat; it was a symphony of innovation, creativity, and a dash of magic. Our development journey began with a visionary team, a group of trailblazers determined to push the boundaries of what a Tactical/Strategy RPG could achieve.
Crocotile
Different to how sprites will be made, the main program will mainly be Crocotile.
For each level's texture, we will start with a basic shape with no blending to them as to plan out where we want each type of environment.
Once we are happy with the basic level layout, we will then move into texture blending. This blending will help connect the different types of environments we have in a map.
Once blended, any other details like smaller non tile based assets such as cosmetic tree branches, rock or blades of grass will be added where any empty naturally looking space is.

Crafting the promo art for "ēvolūTiō" was a journey of inspiration, creativity, and a deep dive into the essence of the game's soul. As the artist behind this, my mission was to encapsulate the spirit of the game, marrying the captivating blend of 2D pixel art and immersive 3D environments in a single image.
Pixel art + 3D environments
The first cornerstone of our success lies in the meticulous fusion of 2D pixel art and immersive 3D environments.
Through a combination of proprietary rendering techniques and artistic alchemy, I transformed pixels into living, breathing entities, while simultaneously crafting 3D environments that felt like tangible worlds within the digital realm.
